The first set of pictures are the before and after pictures.  Scroll down to see the day to day progress of the whole project.

New Kitchen Old Kitchen Remarks
The new cabinets will be Diamond Maple Providence (square full overlay) with a contemporary handle.  I cannot find the pictures of the these on the web.  We modeled it after a brochure we saw.  We are going with a contemporary look (the doors are open in this pic but you can see the long handles on the side and the knobs for the drawers).
Picture of sink and window.  We wanted counters to be able to hide stains.  It will be a silt color.  The counter will be Corian Solid Surfaces counter with a two bowl sink molded into it and splash guard behind the stove.  We chose them because you get the sink free (saving $550).
Counter-top stove.  This will be replaced by a Frigidaire Professional Series appliances.  The stove is a  PLCS389EC and the hood will be replaced by a FMV158FM Microwave hood.  The cabinets to the right of the range will be 12" filler pullout.  The dishwasher will be moved and in its place will be corner cabinet with sliders and a Lazy Susan.
This entire wall will become cabinets.  The bottom will be the pot and pan organizer on the left and a super cabinet on the right.  The counter will be hidden by two Tambour doors (in the sketch next to the photo) so only 12" of counter will be showing.  Then regular cabinets going to the ceiling.  We were going to have these be papyrus glass but that added $3k on the bill.
This is what one of the tambour doors looks like open.  I plan to keep them closed to hide the clutter. :)
The wall oven will be pulled out and replaced by cabinets also.  It will match the right side of the cabinets above so the super cabinet is straddled by the pot and pan organizer cabinets.
Our new KitchenAide Two-Drawer Dishwasher will go in the spot the broken trash compactor is.  Then there will be a standard 12" cabinet.  The corner will be accessible from the other side under the bar.
This picture shows the 13" drop ceiling which will be pulled out.  We plan on getting pendulum lights for above the bar and modern circular lights for the center.  This will give us an extra 13" of cabinet space for each of the wall cabinets.
This is a picture of our floors.

The next set of pictures are the old layout and what the remodeled kitchen will look like minus the lights.

Next set of pictures will be of during the remodeling.  The cabinets came in the first week of November so we may just get it done before Thanksgiving.

Day 1

They spent the day ripping out the old cabinets.
They also had to tear out the false ceiling.
The other side of the kitchen with the false ceiling on the floor.
Day 2
After pulling everything out Dan had to rewire the whole kitchen.  It seems that every occupant had added a little something to the kitchen until it was a big spaghetti mess of wires and outlets.

Day 3

The new ceiling.
Outlets sorted out and wall patched up.
Day 4
Ceiling textured.
Walls textured.  Cabinets unpacked.
Day 5
Cabinets partially installed.  Here is the under the bar cabinet.  Normally this area was accessed from the other side and you have to reach in a cabinet with your entire body. :p
Initial fitting.  Combining the stove and the oven opened up a ton of cabinet space.

Day 6

This is the area where the old dishwasher was (next to the stove).  Normally, the area where the slider drawers are located was not accessible.
Another shot of the under the bar cabinet.
This is the left organizer cabinet for pots, pans, and lids.
This is the center organizer cabinet for all your gadgets.
This is the right organizer cabinet with pull out drawers.  I think it will be perfect for all the plastic containers and lids for the top drawer and our glass baking stuff for the bottom drawer.
This is the pantry cabinet next to the stove that will hold our seasonings and sauces.

Day 7-8

The counters took about 2 days to install.  The first day they had to install them and glue the pieces together.  The second day was the sanding down and polishing the connections.  I am amazed you cannot even tell where the sections piece together.  There was a 2 week wait between the Day 6 and 7 of the project due to our place in the queue and the curing process of the Corian.
Day 9-10
The last two days were Sam and his crew installing the plumbing, dishwasher, lights switches, garbage disposal, air vents, cabinet handles, and cleaning up the kitchen.
